THE ACADEMY

The Academy is a collection of accredited courses compiled by the Schoolhouse for Art to provide intensive learning opportunities in the Visual Arts.
The ATELIER, the CORNERSTONE, the PATH and COPYING THE MASTERS provides 4 individual opportunities for in-depth practise & study to further develop your art skills under the direction of our artist tutors.

Over 14 weeks (160 accredited hrs) under the direction of Academy trained artist WILL NATHANS you will study the various intensive traditional techniques of fine art drawing & painting - Bargues, Casts & the Life Model.

A 10 month (140 accredited hrs) in-depth exploration of the essentials of drawing & painting.
In-studio practical modules and online theory classes. Course director Bairbre Duggan with tutors Dave West, Alan Clarke, Sinead Lawless & Jim Harris.

12 weekly classes (36 accredited hrs) with Sinead Lawless.
A thorough study of process and technique in landscape, still-life & portraiture.

24 hours fully supervised instruction through group demonstration and individual critique with Nicholas Robinson. In addition, a private guided tour by Mags Harnett of the Master paintings at the
National Gallery of Ireland
